We are ordinary people seeking together to reveal the extraordinary love of God in Jesus name
A study in Romans 5:1-5
1. Our Justification Changes Our Suffering
The text tells us our justification by faith in Christ changes how we face suffering. Jesus gives us peace with God, access to grace and the hope of glory.
2. Suffering Produces Endurance
While suffering is inevitable in a broken world, the text also suggests it is the way in which God changes us and prepares us for the glory which is to come.
3. Endurance Produces Character
Enduring suffering grows in us a godly character that greater reflects the Lord Jesus.
4. We Have Hope
As Christians, living in a sin-ruined world, we have a hope of a new creation to come where 'death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore' (Rev. 21:4).
